R.E.M. Split After 31 Years...
R.E.M. have been the soundtrack to my whole teenage and adult life. All good things come to an end I suppose but I'd be a liar to say I won't miss them.

Rolling Stone Music wrote:R.E.M. announced today that they have broken up after 31 years together. "As lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band," the band said in a statement on their official website. "We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished."
