Victim (of writer's block)

Victim (Of Writer's Block)

The words evade me
or…
the words avoid me.
What did I do
to deserve
desertion
of creative presentation
of thoughts, ideas
or…
truth as its revealed to me?

Even the feelings are gone
or…
the feelings have created
desperation and
an empty space
in my heart
in my soul
in my mind
or…
the blank script of today.

Who will write my words
if I don't?
Who will feel my pain
while I am numb?
Who will fill the space
I leave behind?
Who will complete the thoughts
or…
who will know my truths?

when all else fails, there is always writer's block to write about. I'm liking this as it has a certain freshness about it, and that uncertainty that pervades the mind when faced with a blank paper or screen with a blank mind, yet a desperate yearning.

I agree with Mike. As I said, over at Forest Murmurs(in the guise of my alter ego, 'trefoilz'): "Wonderful rhythm in this. A feeling of ebb and flow. Hesitant, then moving on swiftly, then hesitating again. Testing the waters. Seeing if the words will still come (they clearly will). The questions at the end may be the catalyst to set the words free."
