- If, as we're led to believe, Northern Ireland is finally evolving and moving away from the imposed hatreds of the past. Then it would seem fair that certain measures be put in place to ensure the disgusting intolerances of the past be ended permanently and that anyone who repeatedly commits or advocates any form of intolerance be cautioned and/or arrested for incitement to hate crimes.
Iris Robinson, wife of Peter Robinson the British Unionist politician, himself an intolerant bigot, has recently said that homosexuality is an abomination and sin. She has stated that homosexuals should seek professional help from psychiatrists to turn away from their sexuality and towards heterosexuality. She should be approached and advised/arrested by the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) if there is any genuine justice to be found in Northern Ireland. In fact, I believe the police are legally obliged to caution/arrest her and if they don't they too are guilty of perpetuating her hatred and intolerance (which most people of conscience know is a mental disorder causing untold amounts of crime and continued pain towards people who have chosen a different life choice).
At the very least she should be fired from her overpaid job (with no access to retirement pension) since she is on a payrole made up from rates and taxes that we all pay. Why should we be forced to spend our money to keep her ignorance and that of 'people' like her in power?
Iris Robinson and her type have recently requested that their right to cultural/religious expression be accepted. So she more than most should know the damage ignorance and intolerance can do. The alternative if she isn't arrested is almost as ugly as her (big-nosed manly hag that she is), and would involve people taking power from her by any means at their disposal including more of the hatred and violence of the past that she, her husband and their various colleagues have been paid to continue.
