Morrissey! Morrissey! Morrissey!

Post by Louis P. Burns aka Lugh »

Just got an email from Brian Gillespie, a highly talented writer pal of mine:-
Brian wrote:Morrissey is on the shortlist for greatest british living icon, so here's the link to vote for him. Unless, of course, you think Vivian Westwood should get it instead. Tell everyone you know. His Quiffness deserves it.

I've cast my vote for Morrissey - The Quiffed Wonder and former frontman for the best band in the world ever - The Smiths...

C'mon People 8) ..! Click the link and vote for Mozzer. You know it makes sense...

That link again is:-

Thanks for the link, Lugh. I was torn between Bowie and Westwood, but had to vote for Westwood in the end; the best and most imaginative designer this country has ever produced, and a huge influence on my own artwork.

I voted for Stephen Fry in the end.

I would give up semi vital bodyparts to have his mastery of the english language.

Not to mention the accent

Ah, the lovely Mr. Fry. Splendid chap. Superb voice. His latest Twinnings Tea advert is absolutely priceless too. Everytime it's come on I've spat my Tetley laughing at him talking like a Rapper.

By the way Delph. I slagged Westwood off on another thread. Sorry :P  ...

Mwhahahaha - Morrissey, Morrissey, Morrissey :P ..!

Thanks to a heated debate here in my apartment lastnight, my writer pal, Brian has this morning furnished me with a superb link on the Comment Is Free pages of The Guardian about Morrissey:-

http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/dav ... _life.html

We hypothesised about the rights and wrongs of vivisection and Morrissey's stance against it and eventually got to a point where we wondered what political party, if any, Morrissey would vote for if he lived in the UK.

I was also a tad concerned because in a review of David Cameron on The Politics Show last Sunday (BBC1), Morrissey's songs were being played as though Cameron were a fan of The Smiths and Morrissey. That alarmed me somewhat I can assure you because I have held nothing but utter contempt and 'murderous desire' for the Tories most of my life.
