John Cooper Clarke, Derry and The Sopranos...

Post by Louis P. Burns aka Lugh »

Manchester Musician, Performance Poet and Songwriter; John Cooper Clarke is doing a gig in Derry, Northern Ireland, up at The Playhouse Theatre on Friday 11th May, 2007. I'll definitely be at that and hope to get some footage / photographs to upload. I've been a fan of his work for years. He once played bass guitar for The Fall, is an exceptional poet and should be running for Prime Minister in all fairness. He'd sort a few things out...

Here's another little nugget of news about John Cooper Clarke's classic; Evidently Chickentown *. It's the closing theme on the new episode 14 (or episode 2 - Season 6 - Part 2) of the Sopranos which has just become available on (coff!) download sites should any of you be into it. 3 new episodes in fact, and a 4th from Sunday.

Great connections. I can't wait to see him live :-D ...
