Legacy hasn't been touched in... yonks. Probably won't be for a while yet, however.
"Project 5" had it's first chapter layed down today.
It's a science fiction piece, rather then a fantasy story like Legacy.
Still trying to come up with a name for it though.
A pre release of the first chapter will be made available in a couple of days whilst I work on cleaning it up a bit.
This is the story I intend to submit under the URP - Sensitize banner. Legacy will, at least for the moment be kept seperate until I've worked out some things.
It's likely that I'll license Project 5 under the creative commons 2.5 license just as I have with Legacy, however, the URP release will offered with fewer restrictions to allow for comercialisation of the work.
Some rights reserved and all that crap.
Status report...

It'll come Alan. I get that all the time too man. Fookin' annoying but essentially part of the process. What's good is that you're writing and engaging with characters, plots and settings again.the_leander wrote:Legacy hasn't been touched in... yonks. Probably won't be for a while yet, however.

Interestingly enough, I'm also working on an old story I started about 5 years ago called Kin. It's a sci-fi piece as well. Who knows? We could end up with a compilation of works on this theme. That would be cool ...
I look forward to reading it mate. Nice one ...the_leander wrote:A pre release of the first chapter will be made available in a couple of days whilst I work on cleaning it up a bit.

We'll do our best to promote your writing Alan and thank you for having faith in us mate.the_leander wrote:It's likely that I'll license Project 5 under the creative commons 2.5 license just as I have with Legacy, however, the URP release will offered with fewer restrictions to allow for comercialisation of the work.

Very nice Mr. Fisherthe_leander wrote:The first chapter of PRO5PB01 is now up.
Until I can come up with a name, the above is the full designation of the project.
Needs a bit of editing but you have constructed a full bodied story here that leaves me wanting more. Your characters are strong and your details / settings are powerful.
Also, and it's possibly because I'm a sci-fi nut, I have the feeling there is something more to Evelyn's character. Perhaps gynoid? Sorry, don't want to direct you in any way, it's just a feeling I have about her. I have a short work-in-progress at the moment that's a love story between a human female and a gynoid, set in a detention centre in the future.
Right. Enough about me. Excellent intro and first chapter Alan mate. As I've said earlier, I can't wait to read more...
Can you provide a link directly to it for our members please?
More power to yer elbow dude ...

A bit? Bwahahaha, I suspect before it's finished, if delph is still up for doing editing, she'll be cursing my nameLugh wrote:Very nice Mr. Fisherthe_leander wrote:The first chapter of PRO5PB01 is now up.

There is always more to a charactor, I guess you'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds...Lugh wrote: Also, and it's possibly because I'm a sci-fi nut, I have the feeling there is something more to Evelyn's character. Nice idea though for a short story
Not exactly. See, thanks to the wonders of the web forward, if I put up the direct link, you'll not actually be able to download the file... I know it sounds odd, but its the same reason that if you try to right click save as on any of the pdf's on that site, all you get is garbage.Lugh wrote: Can you provide a link directly to it for our members please?
So, with this in mind, if you want it on your computer do as follows...
go to my site
Select projects, then project 5 and the project pdf, now depending on how your systems are setup, one of two things will happen, Acrobat will either grab the file and load it within the browser, or as a seperate window. Either way, if you want to keep hold of that file, you'll have to save it from within acrobat to a place of your choosing.
Remember, Right-click save will not work on that site, you have to left click on the pdf link to get it to display...
