Writing a sestina is the poetry equivalent of reinstalling your operating system. It seems a good idea when you start........

I agree with everyone else on this thread Dave. I did comment on your Sestina on another thread, but fair play to you for getting this done mate...

Regarding you point about Sestinas being written by people who live alone with cats. This has solved an aging mystery for me. There's a shifty looking bloke down the street who has cats and I have long suspected him of being a poet. Who do I report him to? Is there a reward and if so, what is it?

Nah. Just joking. More power to yer elbow Dave 8) ...

You'll have to get tapping on the Fecker thread because the next few ideas are already queueing up.

After the Quantum Interweb implosion, the tear in space, Vampire/demon hunters, the police frame up, the football match, the robbery etc.....

The Fecker is about to be visited by a vertically challenged Japanese/Belfast Yakuza boss called Ryuichi Minimoto, who gets Lugh, Mike and Slightly to look after a prize pig for him. 'Tis a shame our Michael has a weakness for bacon with his fried soda.

Ryuichi Minimoto - Pig shagger with a guilty conscience. Once put on trial for making scratchings of his friends. Twice found guilty of selling pigskin handbags to tourists but forgiven by Jainist and Shinto spiritual leaders who knew and respected his mum and the glory days of the revolution. Quoted as stating publicly that sushi was for wimps and shark-fin soup was a neccessity...

We'll have no real problems from him. Rest assured...

Thought I'd let you know that 29 Palms is my home town...referring to the picture of the Marines surrounding the Domes. I live in a different desert town now, 30 miles away, but its nice to know those guys are there. I know, I know, U.S.A. isn't too popular right now, but I'm an American and proud to be.

Hi PD :)

Can I just point out that I have a problem with American Administration and their Foreign Policies? I have no problem whatsoever with Americans. I realise that many of them are just as angry at their current President and many of the ecological problems that both the USA and the rest of the world have contributed to.

There's nothing wrong with pride in our countries and homelands PD. After all, it is our cultures that first lend themselves to our need to use our creative skills. We feel, hear or see things that need changing and we use what we know to bring these changes about.

In most of our cases, this is our artistic awakening :) ...

Good for you. Don't worry about it. I'm English. Ask Lugh what he thinks about the English. We can't take anything personally around here.

As Dave has rightfully pointed out. I am indeed Irish. Thankfully though, I'm a moderate Irishman.

Just look at how the hardline Irish behave :P ..!
